The CSL or Coupe Sport Lightweight was a dominant force in the European Touring Car championship as well as the IMSA series in the US in the early ‘70s. It was the first car to feature the now unmistakeable MSport colors. The Blue is taken from the Bavarian flag, the Red recognizes their partnership with Texaco and the Purple is a perfect blend of the blue and the red.
